We are conveniently located 10 miles from downtown Grand rapids, 5 miles from Grandvalley State university and 30 miles from the lake Michigan shoreline. In 2019 my husband and I set out to renovate this old pool house into a self-sustainable apartment or tiny home in our backyard. As you can imagine… things did not turn out the way we intended and construction was completed in the fall of 2020! The amenities are not lacking within the space and we know you will feel at home!

The Amberg House - a Frank Lloyd Wright Original

Staying in a house designed by Frank Lloyd Wright is a bucket list item for fans of America's most acclaimed architect. The Amberg House was completed in 1911 at the pinnacle of Wright's Prairie Style influence. Though every Wright home is special, the Amberg House is a unique collaboration between Wright and Marion Mahony. Mahony worked with Wright from 1896 until 1909. A graduate of MIT, she was the first woman to be licensed as an architect in the US.

Steeped in nature, the gazebo provides a get away into nature, with its double bed and intimate sized room this is a wonderful space for 2 to be immersed in a peaceful environment. Whether you came here to rest & revive or to explore there is plenty to be had! The gazebo has a nearby compostable toliet (shared with other guests), and just a 1 minute walk on a path in the woods to the main house (where the full bathroom is that can be used 9am-8pm).

So nice and peaceful, but minutes away from many restaurants, stores, Egypt Valley CC, Blythefield CC, Meijer Gardens, Cornerstone University, Calvin University, downtown Grand Rapids and the new Acrisure Amphitheater. The property is situated on spacious property near walking trails/parks. The kitchen has a refrigerator, microwave, hot plate including pots and pans, toaster and keurig. This is a very light, bright and cozy place to stay!

Cedar Springs Getaway

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. 2 Bedrooms, full kitchen, living room, dining room, and washer/dryer on site. Living room has fold out couch for sleeping 2 extra for a total of 6 people. There is an office area between the kitchen and the dining area that can be used if you need to get some work done while at the location. I have a ring doorbell camera monitoring the front door for safety.
