The Pod in Athenree is an ideal base for 1 or 2 people. One Queen bed. Central to Athenree. A 2-5 minute walk for a variety of activities; swimming, fishing, kayaking/boating, biking, tennis, hot pools + playgrounds. Kayaking in the Estuary is tidal. 5 minute drive to Waihi Beach / Bowentown, or you can walk across the estuary at low tide. 10 minute drive to Waihi & Katikati. The studio-styled Pod isn’t a huge space - but it is handy as a base for your holiday. Enjoy our brand new Queen bed!

Athenree Beach House: Three bedroom waterfront

Our piece of paradise is situated on the edge of the water in the Athenree Village (north end of the Tauranga harbour). The modern upstairs apartment is yours exclusively. From here you can: watch the sunrise over the water; enjoy the ever-changing view of the tide; watch the varied and rich bird life; or relax while reading or playing games from our library. Feel more energetic? Walk to the surf beach; visit the hot pools or take a walk on the water edge. We follow AirBnB cleaning protocols.

Created by an artist & interior designer, this bespoke holiday hideaway, the Barn at Bowentown, is perfect for a romantic getaway. Every little detail has been thought of - luxury bed linens and complimentary robes, TVs in both lounge and bedroom, two person bath and full kitchen. Nestled into a private corner of reserve a short walk to both Waihi Beach and Anzac Bay, the Barn is surrounded by trees and has its own private entrance and courtyard with lounging chairs, outdoor shower & BBQ.

Seaforth Lodge - Marlin Room

Seaforth Lodge provides great accommodation a minutes walk from the beach. Lie in bed, see and hear the waves or grab your board and head out for an early morning dip in the ocean. Own entrance, ensuite, fast Wifi, plenty of off street parking. Linen, towels, fridge, tea/coffee making facilities, microwave and crockery provided. 2 rooms with adjoining doors, great for a friends getaway. Not suitable for small children. Relax at Denby Cottage

Denby cottage offers a peaceful, relaxing stay for 1 to 4 people. The cottage is in a quiet cul-de-sac, easy access to the estuary. Private outdoor area, fully equipped kitchen, off street parking. Athenree offers a truly quiet escape with adventure at your doorstep. Great for kayaking, paddle boarding, swimming, playgrounds and hot pools. You can walk across the estuary to the beach at low tide. 5 to 10 minute drive to Waihi Beach.

Homewood Cottage

Homewood cottage is situated in a private garden behind the main homestead “Homewood”. Homewood was built in 1876 by Dr Thomas Fletcher and was the original farm house in the area. The cottage was built in the early 1900s when the property was owned by George Alley a well known philanthropist. Guests can enjoy the private lawn and garden around the cottage, and wander down the hedgerow to the pond overlooking the Tauranga harbour.

The Fat Fish, Studio with Outside Bath

'The Fat Fish' is a perfect space for couples to chill, relax and enjoy the charm, beauty and laid back style that is Waihi Beach. It is an entire self contained Studio, with its own entrance, private courtyard and off street parking. Centrally located, it is a short 5 minute walk to the Beach, Restaurants, Bars, and the quaint and quirky Waihi Beach Village.

Jasmine Cottage

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. Dog friendly, quiet and chill, 2 minutes drive to the main beach, walking distance to the estuary and hot springs. Tennis court open to all at the end of our street. Enjoy a wine and sea breezes while relaxing on the deck with fairy lights to finish off a magical day

Pelican House

Come relax in a quiet family friendly street in Athenree. With access to the street tennis court and reserve, minutes walk to multiple parks and the Athenree Hot Pools, this is a great little spot for young families, or a couple wanting to get away. Close to Waihi Beach to be able to pop out for a coffee, shop or swim.

Beach Road Bach

We have created a newly built modern dwelling that is centrally located to the village and our lovely Beach and several great walking tracks. Orokawa and the Trig walk are within close vicinity as are several local cafes and restaurants. This gem is a perfect getaway for a couple’s retreat.
