The Rimu Hut - Cosy Bush Escape

A tramping-style A-frame chalet nestled against rimu trees on the edge of a stunning 15-acre native forest block close to the Hunua Ranges in rural South Auckland. Built by the owners using macrocarpa timber grown on the property, it was intended to be a place where their grandchildren could enjoy sleepovers in the forest and afternoon adventures. They soon realised though, that such a special place should be shared so they decided to make it available to others. Cosy in winter, cool in summer!

Welcome to our peaceful oasis near Howick Village. 5 mins walk to Mellons Bay beach. Enjoy your own private space in a modern and comfortable setting. Our place has a bedroom with a queen-sized bed, a separate bathroom (no bath), lovely deck, modern kitchen with a 5-seater sofa and small dining table. You will have your own fridge/freezer, tea and coffee, toaster, Freeview TV, wi-fi, all self-contained so all your needs are catered for. Take a break and unwind at this peaceful oasis.

Secluded sunny studio with off-street parking

The 35 square metre self-contained studio is private, elevated and peaceful with a sunny deck overlooking the garden and Eskdale Reserve's native bush. Both the studio and its carpark are out of sight and sound of the road down a long sloping ROW that is shared with the main house. NOT suitable for guests with restricted mobility because of the stairs from carpark to studio (see photos). Uncluttered. Suitable for cooking, working, relaxing. 10min walk to nearest shop and bus stops.

•Brand new, Scandinavia styled cabin. •Self-contained. •Cleaned by professionals & linen provided. •Check yourself in with lockbox. •Enjoy the stair climb and winding path up to your cabin. •Lockers on site to keep your bags before checking-in/after checkout. •Walking distance from the ferry (1.2kms around 12 mins). •Walking distance to Oneroa shops, cafes, restaurants & beach (500 meters about 5mins). •Walking distance to 3 wineries (Cable Bay, Mudbrick & Jurassic Ridge).

Four Huia

A light space with all day sun. Two decks allow chilling with a cuppa or a glass of wine; one has a peak of the sea the other one to a private garden. Separate bedroom, bathroom, living area incl. smart TV and a kitchenette. The photos are not our best work because we hopeless photographers! 1 km from the main village Oneroa, 2km from ferry and closest sandy beach, Little Oneroa, with dairy and takeaways is 500m. Electric blanky in winter for snuggling up!

Hillcroft cottage is a small self contained cottage within our large garden on 16acres of land. There are 2 resident Labrador dogs, cattle and hens. Continental breakfast is provided.
