The Magical Cabin on Back Creek

Magic is the word most people use when they visit this hidden gem. Built in 1939 as a fishing cabin by a gentleman who incorporated box cars as rafters and beams, dates still visible since removing the attic. By far the best place I've ever lived. I decided to share it with others who love to explore, who love listening to the voice of the creek or who come just to sit on the porch high above the creek with a spouse, friend, family, or alone. We are within driving distance to Winterplace Ski Resort, Pipestem State Park, Hatfield and McCoy trailhead, historic Bramwell, Greenbrier Resort, New River Gorge. We are 47 mi from Virginia Tech and 89 mi to Roanoke, 173 mi to Charlotte. A perfect stop for travelers heading North or South.

Set in the beautiful Alleghany Mountain Range, the Cabin On The Creek is a custom-built luxury cabin with amazing views and access to Potts Creek on a private wooded property. Multiple outdoor areas to enjoy the sights and sounds of the creek include the back porch, observation deck with Adirondack chairs, and walking path that leads to a stunning view of the Potts Creek “Sinks.” Enjoy the tranquil natural environment as you make use of the outdoor grill, picnic area, fire pit, and hot tub.

EV charging station 1/2 mile, Camp Creek. A couple’s get away, traveling for bus, or family vacay, our cabin is perfect. We strive to make every guest as comfortable as possible!

This river property is located in Summers County, the southern gateway to the beautiful New River Gorge National Park. The two-bedroom cottage is a perfect getaway for solo adventurers, couples, or a small family. River access to the Greenbrier River is provided via a short walk down a steep but walkable camp road. Cozy Farm Cottage with a View 3.3 MILES OFF I-77

Come enjoy quiet seclusion on a 210 acre farm located 5 miles from Winterplace ski resort and Weathered Grounds Brewery and only 3 miles off the Ghent exit! Self check-in on a private half mile long road. Feed the fish with two ponds full of blue gill, coy, bass and catfish. Hike or mountain bike on miles of trails throughout the property! Then come drink hot chocolate next to the fireplace, or have a glass of wine while watching the sunset on the covered porch!

Cabin on the Creek

This 1 room cabin with kitchenette (2 top burner, small refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker) with full bath is set on Toms Creek, fifteen minutes drive from Virginia Tech and the town of Blacksburg. The space itself is private, rustic and charming even though we live just next door. We thank you for no pets, vaping or smoking inside the cabin and we are happy to share that our onsite managers, Ray and Mara, will be handling all inquiries on our behalf.
