LayZ Acres Yooperlite Camp

Get away from it all and unplug yourself from modern reality and relax in nature. Yooperlite Camp is a private minimalist forest camp site consisting of 8 X 12 bunk cabin with a small porch. This cozy, secluded camp is located about 1000 feet into a mixed hardwood forest on a single track secluded trail at the back of the property. There are 4 other camps on the property "Quartzite Camp", "Sandstone Camp" and "Slate Camp” and Granite Camp. See additional information in The Space and Guest Access

Secluded small farm house nestled in among maple, apple and pine trees. Lots of parking for trailers and guests. Wood burning Sauna on property. Just a short walk down the hill is our Private rock beach On Lake Superior with a fire pit to get cozy and watch the sunset. The main cabin also has a fire pit for your enjoyment. This is a quiet place with whitetail deer being the only thing to come and visit. Occasionally you’ll see bald eagles fly overhead looking for their dinner. Walking trails.

It provides a great home base for travel in the Keweenaw peninsula! As a 1930s cabin with a sauna on the lake along with a great view, the focus is on the experience! We find guests who truly enjoy our place are flexible with rustic conditions (not looking for Holiday Inn Express) and young at heart!

With plenty of parking, ample outdoor space, and a cozy feel, you'll have all the amenities of home, with all the privacy of the woods. Located just a few minutes from Lake Superior and downtown L'Anse. Great central location between the Keweenaw Peninsula, Marquette, and the Porcupine Mountains. UP Snowmobile trail#14 runs feet from the end of the driveway, combining easy trail access with a secluded tiny home feel.
