A mature forest and a beautiful pond are what you'll see when you arrive at this cozy, secluded, full log cabin. The cabin was recently completely renovated (Mar/April 2025)from log to log and is stocked with everything you'll need for your stay. It has all new appliances, furniture, fixtures, bathroom, cabinetry. 💚 It is the perfect homebase to relax after a long day of hiking Frog Bay, Houghton Falls, Lost Creek Falls, Meyers Beach, or shopping in nearby Bayfield, Washburn, or Cornucopia.

Wild Pines Cabin: A-frame w/ Lake Superior views

Enjoy off-grid vibes while being right in the heart of the North Shore. Located 5 minutes from Split Rock Lighthouse, Wild Pines Cabin is a completely renovated 1974 a-frame that sits atop 40 private acres overlooking Lake Superior. During your stay, hike through the property, catch glimpses of wildlife, sip coffee by the fire while taking in the sunrise over the lake, or step out to nearby Gooseberry, Black Beach, or Tettegouche. A beautifully private north woods retreat any time of year!

Norrsken Scandinavian Cottage

The guest cottage is painted to resemble a Scandinavian retreat. Complete with separate bedroom, extra fold-out sofa queen bed, kitchenette, wood burning stove, WiFi (the best we can find but not great!!!) and large television (DirecTV), it is a great getaway for a couple or a family. Owners live on property if you need anything. If you are a bit adventurous, we can put up a tent right next to Lake Superior. The entire property is smoke free. For a quiet stay, no snowmobiles or ATVs.

Treat yourself to a deluxe stay in this quiet, newly constructed cabin with picture windows, screened porch and barrel sauna. The cabin has an occupancy limit of 2 adults and one dog ($50 pet fee). A SUP board is stored near the beach for guests in summer.

Twisting Twig Gardens and Orchard Yurt

Our yurt offers a sweet retreat in the woods about 10 miles outside of Bayfield. We are located on a small working organic farm with vegetable gardens, apple trees, and rustic accommodations. We are close to great outdoor recreation near Lake Superior and are about 6 miles from Meyers Beach in the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore. Our property is located on 40 acres and is very remote. We are on the edge of thousands of acres of county land. The perfect escape!

Private Cozy Cabin on the Knife River

Retreat to this secluded cabin, resting on a hill along the Knife River nestled in 15 acres. You'll be met with a spacious, yet cozy environment with a bedroom and a separate loft area. The cabin features a sauna, a beautiful stone shower, two bathrooms and a tub. The south side of the land runs along the knife river with an overlook, perfect for the sunrise. 1 Bedroom, 1 Bath, Sleeps 2 Nestled among the north woods, this yurt is a comfortable and unique getaway. The design is a contemporary twist on the traditional yurt, featuring classic yurt elements such as lattice walls and radial rafters, along with modern comforts. The yurt sleeps up to two guests with a queen-size bed sitting under a clear dome to watch the sky above. There is a sitting area, as well as a bathroom, complete with hot shower and flush toilet.

Applegate cottage is an adorable cottage located just a short walk from the beautiful beach in Herbster, Wisconsin on the Lake Superior Scenic Byway. Whether you like hiking, biking, kayaking, skiing or just relaxing, there’s something nearby for everyone. Bayfield County has orchards, wineries, the Apostle Islands, sea caves, boutique shopping, waterfalls, great restaurants and so much more! Best of all…the sunsets! And, every season brings it’s own beauty!
