Built in 1921 and restored in 2019, this cabin is situated to view Longs Peak and Twin Sisters. It backs up to a meadow where deer and elk frequently browse during all seasons. Quintessential Estes Park architectural elements, such as a moss rock fireplace and antler door handles, are found throughout the cabin. This historic yet modern 500 square foot cabin was built in 1932 for men working on the Shadow Mountain dam. When we found it, we knew this would be the perfect getaway for us and wanted others to share this experience too. Our cabin is 4 miles from downtown Grand Lake! It's a short drive to restaurants, shops, hiking, fishing, the beach and kayak/boat rentals. Head to the Rocky Mountain National park to hike and see wildlife or stay home and enjoy s'mores around the fire.
