Wonderwoods Private Nature Retreat offers a truly memorable stay in one of only three canvas Bell Tents scattered amongst scentful Eucalyptus trees, ferns and indigenous forest. We have beautiful 5m bell tents placed in exquisite locations with lake, mountain and forest views. It is a luxury space with all the comforts. You can choose the beds that suit your sleeping arrangements. Wake up with the fish eagles as they patrol the lake at sunrise. Named after the green lichen or Old Man’s Beard, which thrives in the pure air of the forest this suite is elevated six meters above the ground. Maximizing the view of the Outeniqua Mountain range and the forest gorge from the bedroom and bathroom. The open-plan kitchen and dining area can be extended onto the outdoor patio via a large opening wall panel, bringing the outside in and the inside out.
