Craigiehall Temple (historic property built 1759)

Make your trip to Edinburgh truly memorable with a stay at Craigiehall Temple. Built in 1759 and situated in its own grounds on a former part of the Craigiehall Estate, its Grade A listed for its stunning portico displaying the arms of the 1st Marquess of Annandale. With all the home comforts you need, surrounded by stunning views of the farm, it is the ideal place to escape for a peaceful weekend away. Our Glamping Pod sleeps 2 adults and 1 child, with a double bed and fold down sofa bed. All bed linen and towels are provided. Fire Pit bundle of logs, kindling and firelighters available. The lodge is nestled within native woodland, pleasant walks can be enjoyed within the 22 acre estate or why not try one of the trails around Glassford. Private fishing available on the river Avon (brown trout and grayling).

It is located in the historic market town of Strathaven, South Lanarkshire. The town was granted a Royal Charter in 1450 and is located on the edge of the strath of the Avon Water. It's around 18 miles from Glasgow and on the A71, which connects to Edinburgh.

The Great Hall, Dollarbeg Castle

This 2 bedroom apartment is the beautifully converted former Great Hall of Dollarbeg Castle. Built in 1890, Dollarbeg Castle was the last gothic baronial style building of its type ever built. Beautifully restored in 2007 to the very highest standards, it was converted into 10 luxury properties, one of which is a conversion of the original "Great Hall" with its vaulted ceiling and majestic views across the formal grounds towards the Ochil Hills in the distance.
