There's a whole heap of things to do within the local area - popular excursions are; water sports on the lake, walking and cycling. Hay Meadow Farm is a 12th century thatched manor house with origins dating even further back. As mentioned in the Doomsday Book the farm is steeped in history and the cottage with its inglenook fireplaces and exposed wooden beams is brimming with character. Situated in an extremely rural setting the manor house and meadows are very tranquil indeed. Surrounded on three sides by woodland and with meadow on the other, you can really get the sense of privacy and seclusion.

I spent 19 months in a shed making this from scratch, and it has my heart. It's designed to meld the security of home with the whims of the wild. There's a bus windscreen above the bed for star/cloud gazing, your own private woodland clearing, a woodburner, and all you need for good dining. It's totally secluded, you won't see anyone or visa versa. Now featuring a hot outdoor shower among the trees, running hot water inside, and Wi-Fi for the WFH crew.
