Harben Cottage in the green hills of Ardara

Harben Cottage is a 150 year old traditional stone cottage - 5mins drive from the Heritage Town of Ardara (20mins walk). Set amongst lush green hills & sitting next to a bubbling mountain stream. A mixture of new and old; low doorways, a turf fireplace, water supplied from a mountain spring, but also a gas cook top, oven, microwave, WIFI, & central heating. NB: that the toilet & shower are housed in outside annex - this may not suit everyone but adds a touch of authenticity for the brave!

This modern, luxurious cottage is truly special. It is located in the Tawnawully mountains by Lough Eske. It is set on 12 acres with a river running through it and a tumbling waterfall right by the cottage. Only 15 minutes drive to Donegal town, which has some really nice restaurants and bars. There is a castle to explore in the town and a wonderful craft village with a very good cafe. Ten minutes drive to Harveys Point and twelve minutes from Lough Eske castle, both reputable 5 * hotels.

This quaint one-bedroom cottage is situated in a peaceful area in lovely landscaped grounds and is the ideal location to explore the beautiful unspoilt county of Donegal. The cottage has been lovingly restored, in the traditional style and is kept cosy with a wood burning stove and oil fired central heating. The snug mezzanine bedroom overlooks the kitchen/sitting room, a delightful place to rest your head after a day's exploring.

The cottage is located in Stragally Co Donegal between the towns of Ballybofey and Glenties which offer many shops pubs, restaurants, traditional music etc.

If you look for a peaceful location where the sounds of streams, of birdsong and wind in the trees are the only "noise", our cosy Lodge in the hills of Donegal is waiting for you! Check also the Wonderly Wagon for up to 2 adults + 2 children (separate listing beside the Lodge). The Lodge offers a fully equipped kitchen with a wood burning stove and a wrap around sun-room. We want you to feel cosy in a place surrounded by nature.

The Barn

Entire place . Lovely light airy place with sea views, open fire , sleeps 2. Own entrance to entire place panoramic sea views with access to beach from property . Fully equipped kitchen, complimentary tea & coffee and some kitchen basics oil, flour salt pepper. Dining area, sitting room and ensuite double bedroom. Shower room downstairs in our antique shop which is opened 1-5 during the summer months.

Countryside cottage two miles from Doochary a quiet village in West Donegal surrounded by rugged mountains and lovely glens with gweebarra river nearby. Ideal location for touring close to glenveagh national park and derryveagh mountains. 25 minutes drive to Gartan outdoor centre where there are lots of activities kayaking ,canoeing etc.Very popular area for fishing and hillwalking.

Set in 20 acres of private land, Joe's Cottage is a traditional Irish cottage located in Cloghan, in the heart of County Donegal. Carefully restored in 2015, the cottage’s interior is decorated in a ‘modern cottage’ style, whilst retaining a traditional feel. The comfortable furnishings, log burners, original artworks and attention to detail make this such a special place to stay.

The Cow Shed at Neadú is a cosy, rustic converted byre situated on our property in a very tranquil scenic area. The view from the cottage looks towards the beautiful Glendowan mountains and Glenveagh National Park. Ideal for a peaceful retreat or a great base from which to explore Donegal.
