Stay in a fully renovated freight car right beside a working rail line! This unique one bedroom suite is situated right on lake Windermere overlooking the Rocky Mountain range with amazing views. The freight car has been modernized into a beautiful suite with all the modern amenities, hot water, board game, full kitchen, bbq and fireplace. Please note that the suite does not have Wifi but the cell reception is quite good in the area to use phone data. Open for Reservations mid April to mid Oct.

Mountainview Lodge Caboose/Tiny Home

Nestled into the Algoma Mountains is our charming lodge. Our historic Algoma train Caboose is quite the experience as it's surrounded by mature spruce, birch and maple trees. Because of our unique location we are on a major flight path for northern migrating birds. We are along the sacred Goulais River, which is home to many different fish species all making their way to Lake Superior. We also offer kayak to rent to explore the river. The top loft of the Caboose is only accessed by a ladder.

Spring Valley Station - Billy Miner Suite

This romantic place to stay offers a unique history. Your stay at Spring Valley Station is a little different from the typical getaway! The train car was built and used in the popular TV series Hell on Wheels (2011–2016), where it served as railroad boss Thomas Durant’s private car. We’ve named one of our suites after Thomas Durant, played by Colm Meaney in the TV series. The other suite is named after legendary local train robber Billy Miner. Connect with nature at this unforgettable escape.

Out in the wilds of the Okanagan desert, just this side of lost, is a place where you can walk down a serene path to finding you. You will find yourself diving deep into the fresh sage mountain air while enjoying nature, rugged scenery, privacy, and good times. Our guests have always rated Sagebrush Caboose 5 stars on cleanliness! Our unique place offers a queen size luxury bed in the loft and the couch can be a double bed. Although remote and off-grid this caboose has wifi speeds of 50 mbps.

Lu Zhu Caboose

Perched up on the cliff, over-looking the Fraser River, our luxury train caboose is surrounded by a rhododendron forest. Conveniently located on highway #7, we are easily accessible and at the door step of endless outdoor adventures. We have our own private hiking trails that wind up the mountain side, crossing creeks, waterfalls and passing many varietals of rhododendrons amongst the lush, natural forest. There are multiple gazebos, look-outs and the higher up you go, the quieter it is.

The Railway Museum of Eastern Ontario is pleased to offer the rare opportunity to have an authentic railroader experience, Overnight in a Caboose. Curl up in our comfortable pull-down beds with new mattresses, fresh linens and relax in the quiet glow of the lantern. This is a 1923 CN wooden caboose. Please note this is not a hotel but a unique glamping experience. This authentic artifact is more than 100 years old and was a working caboose for decades, imperfections should be expected.

Our little caboose seems to have escaped the Kettle Valley Rail Line; offering a slice of peaceful, mountain retreat. The passengers whistle with pleasure as they rest in the queen size luxury bed. Tucked away amongst the rocks, pines and burbling creek; the cute woodstove brings it together as a cozy place for dreaming. In the past two years the railroad tycoons staying here have always rated us 5 stars on cleanliness. Includes business ready wifi speeds of 350 mbps.

You will find our serene place amongst the sagebrush and mountain scenery; just this side of lost. Wander down a quiet path in the wilds of the Okanagan desert and enjoy the inspiration of nature. The railway tycoon requested a place which offers a patio in the fresh mountain air, full bathroom, a queen size bed in a loft, a couch which can be a double bed, a dining table, a heated pool (shared), and a hot tub (shared).

While this carriage has left the clackety-clank of rails behind it has found new joy with its friends the singing birds, glowing wild flowers, and babbling brook. Enjoy a gorgeous mountain sunset from the outdoor patio and relax in the macramé swing. Since this wagon has been sitting on a shoofly spur for a while the signalman connected it to fiber optic internet, getting speeds of 350 Mbps or more.
