Kerneelia Farm Cottage, at Doornkraal

Luxury meets Karoo hospitality at Kerneelia, a quaint and secluded cottage with a wonderful mountain view on our Klein Karoo farm near De Rust. This romantic cottage is located on Doornkraal, a farm that has been in the loving hands of five generations of our Le Roux family. Come take in the fresh air and explore our farm on foot or bicycle. We also offer horseback riding, a great way to see the area and get to know our beloved horses. Included in rate: A bottle of wine, some fire wood.

Karoo Koppie Cottage

Koppie Cottage is our special "off-the-grid" Getaway. Access to the cottage is preferable with a 4x4 or Bakkie and goes through our Olive groves and across the River. The cottage is a tranquil haven , surrounded by Karoo veld and overlooked by the majestic Swartberg mountains. Windmill, limited solar power and gas supply the necessary utilities and peace and quiet are the order of the day. Drag yourself off the stoep, and walk up onto the Koppie behind, into the ancient Karoo veld.

Escape to our charming hideaway on a serene Karoo Game Farm, just 1 km from Laingsburg. Originally old farmworker houses, now newly renovated, our cottages blend historic charm with contemporary design. Established in 1882, the farm embraces wabi-sabi aesthetics, celebrating imperfection and simplicity. Yellow House - Lavender Cottage

Lavender Cottage is at the edge of our almond orchard with a view of the mountains from the stoep and braai-area. A king-sized bed overlooking the mountains can be made up as 2 3/4 beds, and a separate bedroom has two single beds. The kitchen is well-equipped for self-catering guests. Air-conditioning and the nearby pool keep guests cool in summer and a wood stove provides warmth in winter.

This is a place to slow right down. Tucked into Groenfontein Valley, this house is designed for quiet evenings, warm fires, and days that unfold without a plan. Matjiesvlei Cottages - Die Stalle

Die Stalle, was originally built as the residences for two owners of undivided shares in the land bordering the Kleinrivier. It has now been restored into a comfortable 3 bedroomed cottage with a beautiful view of the valley and mountains. During the summer you can cool off in the nearby farm dam, or go for a swim in the river at the private picnic site.
