Ogletree Creek Cabin, beauty and tranquility

Ogletree Cabin is a private retreat nestled on 85 acres of stunning hardwood and pines- just a three-minute walk to lovely Toad Lake. The beach is a great jumping-off place to swim out to the raft, fish on Toad Lake (where we are the only house on the lake), sit on the screened-in porch off of the fishing shack, and go kayaking and canoeing. Please take note that the cabin has one bedroom with queen downstairs and a loft with three beds accessible by a ladder only and not safe for young child.

To get to your cabin you'll begin by winding your way through a vintage salvage yard, filled with relics of autos and farm equipment of the past. While it only sleeps 4, there's plenty of room for you to add a tent for additional sleeping up to 6 total. Your cabin is stowed in a quiet, peaceful outdoor setting only home to one vintage camper. The stars in the night sky will be your last view in the evening. You will wake up to a breathtaking sunrise and the sweet sound of birds in the morning.

Located just miles from downtown, Lake Michigan, world class skiing and golf, biking and hiking trails, this is the perfect home base for any adventure. We are conveniently located for nature preserves, hiking trails, beautiful beaches, ski slopes, and Mackinaw Island. Our home is attached to the guest suite but guests access their suite via a secured private entrance. Our equipped kitchen has a pantry, fresh farm eggs, butter, a home-baked item, ground coffee, and teas.

Cabin #1 on a century old family farm

The cabin is located on a private wooded hill top with great sunrise and sunset views. You can drive up and park next to the cabin. The cabin is very basic one room structure with a queen size bed, tables and chairs. Bathrooms, shower, furnished wifi loft, coffee, electrical outlets, and kitchen space, are located a short walk away inside the Events Barn shared space. No electricity at the cabin itself but it does have battery operated lights. No air conditioning.
