This rural region is an under-appreciated delight. Ideal for walking, cycling, painting, historic houses, gardens, Messums Gallery and Wardour castle. Wonderful selection of pubs locally, a choice for each night’s stay. Breakfast is laid out in the orangery, all home made (told it is “scoffable”).

Garden View Annexe near West Bay, Bridport.

Our light bright garden view annexe is ideally situated for enjoying all that the Jurassic coastline has to offer. The harbour at West Bay (setting for ITV’s drama Broadchurch) is a pleasant 10 minute walk away. The bustling historic town of Bridport is only 5 minutes by car or about 25 minutes on foot. There you will find a twice weekly street market, a variety of shops and a good choice of pubs and cafes. Both Bridport Leisure Centre and the Golf Club with driving range are nearby.

Converted Coach House with views over River Otter.

The Coach house is recently renovated to a very high standard. It consists of a living room with plenty of seating, wood burner, free supply of logs, under floor heating, a dining room that opens into our extensive gardens, a bathroom with shower, separate bath and plenty of fluffy towels and a large upstairs bedroom with seating area with views over the River Otter and garden. It is ideal for a couple/ young family as there is a cot and single bed, available in the bedroom area.

In summer relax on the deck to enjoy glorious views of Lyme Bay on the World Heritage Jurassic Coast. Nestling in my garden, Chesil Beach and the South West Coast Path are 30 seconds away down a private path. Watch magnificent sunsets over the bay and enjoy stargazing in our dark skies.

The Shepherds Secret is a luxury super cozy shepherd hut for up to 2 people, set on the beautiful Jurassic Coast, only one mile from the beach and set in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The Hut is finished to the highest standard set in its own private ground with private garden, private access and parking. The Little Hut, a covered outdoor space, has far reaching views of the surrounding countryside to enjoy until the sun goes down.

The Long Barn

Stone and oak barn in the grounds of a grade II listed farmhouse. The space is light and airy, it has 2 bedrooms and so is ideal for families or two couples. Well behaved dogs are accepted. Although separate from the farmhouse, it is not self-contained, as there are no cooking facilities, other than a fridge, kettle and toaster. Breakfast provisions are provided for guests to have at their leisure.
