There’s an array of restaurants, cafes, bars, and grocery stores within walking distance. The MAYA Lifestyle Shopping Center is a 5-minute walk away. I'd like to suggest the following options, 1. Walking around Nimman rd. is a perfect way of exercise. 2. Bicycle:Renting a bicycle costs around 50 baht ($1.5 USD per day). 3. Motor scooter (about 250 baht per day, depending on the season) - Renting a scooter is the best way to get around, but obviously there is some risk. Chiang Mai traffic in general can be a bit crazy. 4. Guest can easily get a tuk-tuk (three wheeled ride), a Song Thaew (red truck), or Taxi along the road. If you would like to get an important ride like going to the airport. I'd recommend to book in advance. 5. Shared Song Thaew (20-40 Baht/less than $1 USD) - You grab Song Thaew in front of the condo building. Its very affordable and is pleasant experience if you have time, but the waiting time is a little unpredictable as there is no set timetable. Anywhere between 10-20 mins is normal. If you want to hire them to go elsewhere (off route)--which means they wouldn't be picking up other passengers--then they will want to negotiate a price and it will be substantially more. 6. Car Rental (from 1000 Baht / $30 USD) - Renting a car costs around $ 30 - $ 40 USD per day. Be sure the rate includes insurance. There is parking on the premises. You may need to use GPS if you don't know the direction. 7. You can hire a Song Thaw, or car with driver, or Van for the whole day - it's reasonably cheap and practical way to see and visit many attractions in one day - especially if you have many people. Song Thaew would be appropriate for the city and its environs and can seat about 2-10. Hire a private car with driver include fuel starting about 1,500 baht per day depends on distance; hire a van is appropriate for going further (like different provinces). A van costs about 2000 baht per day PLUS fuel (and note if you are only going one-way, they will likely expect fuel for their return to Chiang Mai), and can seat 9, 10, or 11 passengers depending on the model.
