This quiet house is ideal for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Located only 2 miles from the entrance to Douthat State Park (5 minute drive). Great for those who want all the amenities of home and privacy while also enjoying all that the park and the surrounding area have to offer. A short 7 minute drive to the historic town of Clifton Forge (small shops, restaurants, and grocery). Fully furnished. WiFi throughout. Ample parking. Great view of the stars at night!

The Guest House

WE DO NOT HAVE CABLE TV. UP A FLIGHT of STAIRS is a spacious apartment next to The Historic Masonic Theatre in the center of town. The building is built above Smith Creek and the comforting sound will lull you to sleep. The mattresses are comfy pillow tops and we have plenty of seating. You will be within walking distance of many restaurants and stores. Unfortunately this listing is not handicapped accessible due to the stairs and if you have any allergies be aware we allow guests to have dogs.

This unique stay provides endless opportunities for exploring and experiencing Mother Nature’s bounty at its best! Falling Springs falls, the Jackson River, The Homestead and The Greenbrier Resort are all nearby! Outdoor activities are available throughout the area: ample hiking trails, kayaking excursions, fishing, Lake Moomaw, the infamous natural, warm spring waters bubbling from the earth, etc.!

Enjoy a country getaway in a private river front cottage set in the beautiful mountains of western Virginia. Our home is surrounded by national forest and farmland on the unspoiled Cowpasture river. Near the historic town of Clifton Forge, you will find the peaceful escape you have been searching for. The area is ideal for hiking, biking, kayaking, tubing and fishing. Our home has recently been completely remodeled and furnished to accommodate 8 people, with four bedrooms and two baths.

Triple Crown Cabin w/ Trout pond!

Amazing handcrafted cabin located in the center of the "Roanoke Triple Crown" (McAfee's Knob, tinker cliffs and dragons tooth trails) just minutes from each trail head. Cabin is tucked away from everything. No other houses can be seen from the cabin. The cabin overlooks a beautiful pond with a small waterfall cascading in. Cabin was sustainability built with trees from the 20 acres it sits on. McAfee's Knob trailhead is 10 minutes away, Andy Layne trailhead to tinker cliffs is 9 minutes away.

Cabin On The Creek

Set in the beautiful Alleghany Mountain Range, the Cabin On The Creek is a custom-built luxury cabin with amazing views and access to Potts Creek on a private wooded property. Multiple outdoor areas to enjoy the sights and sounds of the creek include the back porch, observation deck with Adirondack chairs, and walking path that leads to a stunning view of the Potts Creek “Sinks.” Enjoy the tranquil natural environment as you make use of the outdoor grill, picnic area, fire pit, and hot tub.

Mitchelltown Apartments-Stay and Vacation

The apartment has a living space featuring a couch and tv for relaxing after a long day of hiking nearby trails and a desk for tidying up some loose ends (wifi included) before your big meeting. 1 queen, 1 full bed. Enjoy your stay here with all the amenities of home as this apartment has a full kitchen and bath along with a washer and dryer combo. Within walking distance to some of Virginia's best outdoor activities. Gym access available upon request. Two night minimum stay required.

Farm's Edge Cabin at Apple Horse Farm

Then fill your day with outdoor activities throughout the Allegheny Highlands. At night, grill out and enjoy dinner around the table. Then light a bonfire and stargaze before ending the night.

Located 9 miles from Lexington, Washington & Lee and Virginia Military Institute. It's a fisherman's dream, paddlers paradise or just a relaxing retreat! The true timber frame construction, stone fireplace, gourmet kitchen and park like setting will take your breath away!!

Little Cabin in the Woods is quiet and secluded!

Enjoy our rustic, cozy, historic log cabin in the woods on 21 acres with two streams and a little meadow. The logs, from the 1800's, were reconfigured 17 years ago combining a rich history with high speed internet and modern amenities. Sink into the luscious bed with totally organic sheets, mattress topper, and pillows. Take a walk on the original wagon train road down to a stream or bath your senses in the majestic view of Jump Mountain from the meadow.
