Delightfully Cozy Historic Post Office/Guesthouse

Estelene was established in 1910 and served as a community center and post office for rural people of southwest Baca County until 1927. Estelene was named after Estelene Collins, the lady who operated the post office on the Collins Ranch where it was located. Estelene was also a teacher at the local schoolhouse for a time. The story goes that after she got older and unable to climb the hill to the original post office, she asked the community to build her a post office closer to the house.

tranquil off the grid unique centrally located to Glenwood and rifle...with goats some of the time...but they graze other places... not always there.... fenced yard.. dogs are free...we have over 300 goats roaming our property with 4 friendly maremmas(lgd). they will check you out and go on about their business! very tall safe fencing..must observe ranch rules and keep all gates closed.. thank you!
