1880s Miner’s Cottage in Moonta Mines – Heritage

Step back in time at this 1880s miner’s cottage in historic Moonta Mines. Built over 140 years ago and extended in the early 1900s by the man who built many Yorke Peninsula roads, it still features the dining room, kitchen and bathroom he added. Lovingly owned for 12+ years and renovated twice, the cottage blends original stone walls and low doorways with modern comforts, a cozy wood fire, a well-equipped indoor & outdoor kitchen, and a big backyard perfect for BBQs under the dark night stars.

It may look small from the outside but you will be pleasantly surprised how spacious it is on the inside. It also has a very large backyard with small grassed area and large peppercorn tree.It is well situated in lovely Wallaroo and with in walking distance to the beach, main street, Hospital, pubs, Coopers alehouse, service station, pizza place and lots more.

Four bedrooms - BYO LINEN Single room (2 single beds) has aircon/heating 2 x Queen bedrooms 1 x double bedroom (Queen & Double rooms have fans and portable heaters) Outside, there's an alfresco area, BBQ and games room (aircon/heat). Plenty of off-street parking.

Wallaroo Church Holiday House

The group will be comfortable in this spacious and unique space. It is perfect for 6 Adults or 3 couples and 4 children. The Luxurious Entertainment Room has 6 metre high walls with 8 metre high curved metal ceilings and table for eight people to sit around and comfortable lounge chairs. The seperate lounge and outdoor areas provide spaces for everyone to relax and enjoy them selves . There is also a bar under the mezzanine floor, in the entertainment room .

Thistle Do

Located just a 5-minute walk to Moonta Bay’s beach, Thistle Do is a compact single level holiday house with games room, large fenced rear yard and off-street parking. Sleeping up to 6 people, Thistle Do has 3 bedrooms – queen, double, double. Quilts and pillows are provided, but guests will need to bring their linen (sheets, pillowcases, towels, bathmats & tea-towels) with them for their stay, or linen can be hired through the Country Getaways office.
