The Barn is a unique old stone barn but modern, with an open plan sitting/kitchen/ eating area with cathedral ceiling and a long narrow window overlooking the Salt Lake to one side, a small window looking down to the sea on the other. There are two bedrooms and a wet room style bathroom (no bathtub) but plenty of hot water and underfloor heating. It is wonderfully quiet, a real retreat for those who just want to escape. Approximately 300 meters from the pier and swimming area on the beautiful northern shores of Lake Corrib, Irelands premier trout and salmon fishing lake. Local Pub & Shop are walking distance. We are located approximately 10K from Cong and historic Ashford Castle. 10 K to the west are the beautiful Maamturk mountains offering exceptional hill walking opportunities. Leenane and Killary Fjord is a short drive west.
