The Live Oak Cottage is a beautiful guest house situated under sprawling live oak trees. The suite and main house was originally a US Coast Guard Lifesaving Station built in 1901 - and moved to its current location in the 60s. The suite has been restored to bring it up to date with modern amenities, while retaining its rustic charm. A kitchenette, with fridge, toaster, plug in cook top + more. Sit back and relax on your private deck with a grill or walk to the beach in just 5 minutes.

Cooter's Cabin

Our cabin is perfect for your family's next getaway. Rick and I have owned this small retreat for 20 yrs. Our 3 kids and 12 grandchildren continue to enjoy it year-round. We decided to allow other families to join in and experience the blessings the cabin has to offer. Why Cooter's Cabin? Rick's nickname Cooter not the fact that American Coot's differ from other ducks in that they have lobed feet instead of webbed! It is do to a good ol' hunting story, how many nicknames are forged.

Historic Beach Cottage 700ft to ocean #singlestory

This is a true {mid-century modern} historic and classic cottage. It was built in 1956 by Frank Stick. Frank was a local artist and developer and started the “flat-top” movement in Southern Shores. We have worked hard to modernize this classic and bring it back to life with some fun twists! The porch is our favorite feature. It is 1200 sq feet of screened in, relaxing bliss. Outside family dinners and corn hole tournaments are our family’s way of relaxing at this sweet cottage!

Sportsman's Paradise ( Hunting & Fishing )

Sportsman's Paradise is just minutes away from the Currituck Sound which is famous for it's duck hunting and fishing. It overlooks Tull's Bay and Tull's Creek and is surrounded by the Northwest River Marsh Game Lands. The kitchen and living room have 9 windows so you can look out three sides of the house at the water. The walls are old rough cut boards and the ceilings are plywood. The living room and bedrooms are carpeted and the bathrooms and kitchen are laminate wood floor.

My well equipped one room bungalow sits right on the beach overlooking the confluence of the North River and the Albermarle Sound. Our 100 year old cottage is nestled in the woods just a 5 minute drive from the ocean and only 1/2 mile to trails, boat ramp & kayak launch. Hit the beach or explore the sound during the day and enjoy our rustic retreat and it's awesome outdoor living space at night: herb garden, fire pit, grill and seating area. Inside raw wood beams, floor to ceiling pine and a loft that kids will love are just some of the unique features our little cabin offers!
