Access to the Monsal Trail is just a 10 minutes walk away, and the villages of Litton and Tideswell are also easily accessible by foot.

It once belonged to the Swythamley Hall estate, where they grew fruit and vegetables for the people of the beautiful, impressive hall. Nestled in the small village of Dilhorne, (about 6 miles from Alton Towers) you'll be wowed by the panoramic, stunning views & peace & quiet here. There are 2 great local pubs in the village, both offering a fantastic range of food & drink. You'll find some beautiful footpaths to explore through the field gate. A quirky self-catering shepherd's hut in the Peak District close to the village of Hathersage with stunning views towards Stanage Edge. This shepherd's hut, situated on a working farm, sleeps two people in a king size bed with separate shower room. Kitchen facilities with toaster, kettle, microwave, fridge, 2-ring hob. The Shepherds Hut is nestled in our walled garden. It has all you need for a relaxing break including lovely views, wood burning stove, bathroom, mini kitchen and a comfy bed area. The clever design allows both a dining table with chairs or comfy seating to relax by the wood burner. Our biofuel hot tub can be hired for your stay. Meet our animals whilst wandering our fields or walk from the property in to Dimmingsdale & Alton village. We’re a 5 minute drive to Alton Towers.

The Railway Carriage/Shepherds Hut is located in the Peak District, Derbyshire within the picturesque grounds of our small remote campsite. It has its own private garden surrounded by drystone walls and amazing views of the surrounding area. Designed and finished to a high contemporary standard while also maintaining the heritage of the 1930s railway carriage. Surprisingly spacious it has an en suite shower room, kitchen, sofa, a wood burning stove and a double bed.
