Hooting Haus Cabin | Hot Tub | Fire Pit | Loft

Nestled at the woods edge and named after our resident owl, Hooting Haus is a European styled cabin retreat close to all Penn State offers. The gourmet kitchen's rustic charm features a zinc island, butcher block counter and natural stone wall. Entertain guests at the artisan crafted pine table while dining next to the antique fireplace. Relax with a hot tub soak, then cap the evening sharing stories under an inky sky gathered round the fire pit with a soothing hot toddy or mug of creamy cocoa.

Fern Hill Cottage ~ With Hot Tub~ Nature~

Experience the tranquility of rural Pennsylvania with a stay at our serene cabin, nestled on 20 acres of land that's home to deer, turkey, and bear. The cabin features a relaxing hot tub and an outside fire ring. There's plenty to explore nearby, with the Thousand Steps just a short 15-minute drive away. Raystown Lake, East Broad Top Railroad, and Juniata River for fishing and canoeing are all within a convenient 25-minute drive. This cabin offers the perfect base for your Pennsylvania escape.

Cozy Cabin With Outdoor Hot Tub

Self check for convenience Tiny cabin with all you need squeezed into it for pleasant stay. It is located on a secluded property not far (5 miles) from major interstates. It is a small guest house across the lawn from our house where my wife and I live. It has window AC and wifi available. Free continental breakfast foods provided. (There is no kitchen) Cleaned to perfection ! We do spray for bugs but it is not unusual to see some spiders and bugs since the cabin is right against the woods.

"Lost Eden" Raystown Lake, mountain views, hot tub

Get "lost" to nature in this luxury house for two, located a 5 minute drive from Shy Beaver boat launch. Atop a meandering mountain road, this unique chalet has treetop views, a 30-foot-high living room, and a open bedroom with a king bed. Lots of natural light filters in from skylights and windows. A spiral staircase adjoins both decks. The lower level has a relaxing hot tub with a privacy wall and patio furniture. A cable railing incloses the deck for an unobstructed view of nature.

The Blue Cottage

Remodeled 2nd floor of Country Cottage on the edge of town. Private entrance, 1 bedroom w/ Queen bed, eat in kitchen, bathroom, livingroom and use of outdoor firepit. Walking distance to Ghost Town Trail, Memorial Park, Ebensburg town square, community swimming pool, Legends Gym, Nathan's Divide Water Shed and Lake Rowena Park. Area colleges include, Saint Francis Univ, Mount Aloysius College, Univ of Pittsburgh Johnstown, Indiana Univ of Pa, Penn State Univ, and Penn State Altoona.

Orchard Guesthouse

Private, cozy cottage with lots of extras. Wake up after a comfortable night's sleep to a breakfast of eggs from our chickens, prepared in a well-appointed kitchen. Kitchen, bath & bedroom refreshed in 2026. After a day of sightseeing relax on the patio with a glass of wine & watch the sunset. Close to shopping, restaurants, UPMC Hospital, PSU Altoona, Horseshoe Curve, Canoe Creek, 40 minutes to Penn State University Park, 2 miles to I 99 and US 22.

Little Stone Cottage

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Originally built as a carriage house in 1820 along with the adjoining stone home and a second stone building originally used as an out kitchen. This rustic cottage has been tastefully modernized and has a queen sized bed, full size refrigerator/freezer, gas range, large screen TV, heat pump that supplies air conditioning and heat, hot water shower and outside grille and fire pit.

Comfort and Convenience

We have extensively remodeled this special home and brought it forward from the 1960s while maintaining its character, including the original wrought iron railing and open vaulted living room. We've also incorporated some elements of Altoona's history into the home. It's the perfect cozy and welcoming space to rest and relax whether traveling for work, visiting family, or exploring the beautiful surrounding area.
