Dovecot Dubs is a recently renovated, luxury cottage in the heart of historic Lanark. It is within easy walking distance of shops ,restaurants, pubs and train station . Completed in September 2020 this detached cottage features a large living room,beautiful dining kitchen , two double bedrooms with ample storage, wc room upstairs and luxury bathroom with bath and separate large walk in shower. The cottage is fully equipped for 4 people . There is your own designated parking space but also plenty of further parking in the surrounding area. A small bistro table and chairs provides outdoor seating for morning coffee , evening drinks . Dovecot Dubs is in the perfect location in the ancient Royal Burgh(1140) of Lanark with it’s connections to William Wallace. The cottage is just 1 mile from the Unesco World Heritage village of New Lanark and the picturesque Falls of Clyde. There are numerous beautiful walks and gardens to visit including the Clyde Walkway at Castlebank Park. Glasgow and Edinburgh are 1 hours drive away as well as the Scottish Borders . There's 200 years of history in our cosy little cottage. Part of the original village cross and formerly ‘Bab’s Shop’, it is now a one bedroom haven. There's wonderful walks from the doorstep and it's a great base to explore the cities and sights of central Scotland. Our quiet & lovely village pub, The Swan is open Friday- Monday. It was the first community owned pub in Scotland and has recently had a major refurbishment. Be sure to book ahead, it’s popular!

Fa'side Cottage is a detached house on the grounds of Fa'side House on the outskirts of Glasgow, Scotland. Located to the south of Glasgow the house is within walking distance to amenities in Newton Mearns. With 12 acres of beautiful gardens and surrounding land to enjoy, the cottage is secluded with views of the Campsies and much of Glasgow. Glasgow city centre is 15 minutes by car. The cottage is also handily located for those seeking to explore Ayrshire.

The property has ample grounds with lawns and grassed areas with uninterrupted panoramic views and also couple of friendly Pigmy goats. You can find highland cattle and horses in the fields nearby. Occasionally you can see deer in the open fields. It’s a perfect sanctuary to hideaway or for the more adventurous traveller to explore Scotland major cities Glasgow and Edinburgh.

A cute wee historic cottage in the Pentland Hills with magnificent views. This home is one of the few properties inside the Pentland Hills regional park. 30 minutes outside of Edinburgh. Harperrig Reservoir is at your door where you can swim and paddle. Endless walks in the Pentlands. Surrounded by farmland. Sit in the hot tub of an evening and watch the colours change in the hills as the sun sets. And wake in the morning to Nespresso coffee.

The Wash House: a Cosy Romantic Countryside Escape

The Wash House is a beautiful, cosy cottage adjacent to a charming Schoolhouse built in 1857. This space was once the schools laundry facility. Character has been retained in this beautiful modern space. Our little slice of paradise is at the gate way to the highlands and 5 minutes from doune ( for those Outlander fans). It is perfect for those wanting to explore the beautiful surrounding area or even as a stop over on route to the highlands.

Dunlop is only 1/2 hour drive to some of Ayrshires top golf courses. The train takes less than 30 mins to Glasgow city centre. The village has a community pub, a community cafe(open Thursdays and Fridays for morning coffee and lunch. A newsagent, post office/ shop and an Artisan Bakery ( openThursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.) A new craft shop has also recently opened next door to our home. The nearest supermarket is 10 mins. drive away.

This traditional 18th-century detached gatehouse is tastefully decorated and furnished to a very high standard. It offers an ideal holiday base to relax or explore the surrounding area. Situated close to the city of Glasgow, Peel Lodge is only 20 mins by train from the city centre, 30 miles away is Loch Lomond, The Trossachs and Ayrshire. Edinburgh and Stirling can be reached in an hour. Shop, pub/restaurant 1 mile.
