April Cottage, East Portlemouth, opposite Salcombe

Situated by one of the most beautiful viewpoints in the South Hams, on a hillside overlooking Salcombe Estuary, this lovely cottage has been in our family for three generations. Step outside the front door a few paces and the estuary is spread below you. Recently lovingly refurbished to a high standard, the cottage has two double bedrooms upstairs, one with an estuary view, while downstairs you will find a galley kitchen, a bathroom with shower, bath and toilet, and a cosy lounge/dining room.

The Old National School is a Grade II listed house, nestled in the beautiful hamlet of Sampford Spiney, located within Dartmoor National Park. Dating from 1585, the house sits in an idyllic spot between the Church and picturesque Sampford Manor. Originally the Church hall, it became the parish school in 1887 until 1923. It was only in the 1960’s that it became a residential dwelling. With its varied history, the house is quirky, with its lovely spacious rooms hinting at its eclectic history.

Little Downgate is situated in the pretty village of East Portlemouth looking over towards the famous sailing town of Salcombe. Enjoy the sunny side of the estuary with multiple stunning sandy beaches to choose from as well as cafes and walks aplenty. Salcombe can be reached easily by hopping on the foot ferry should you wish and water sports lovers can hire equipment a couple of minutes from the property. The house is comfortable, well equipped and offers parking and a delightful garden.

Valley View is located in the most tranquil setting close to the south Devon coastline, you can access popular areas such as Salcombe, Dartmouth and Kingsbridge all within 30 minutes. Totally detached, no road noise or interruptions… utter tranquillity. Admire the most beautiful sunrise and sunsets followed by an explosion of colour across the sky. As the night sets in, enjoy a glass of your favourite tipple outside and spend your evening stargazing over the valley from the hot tub.

Nick and Sameena your hosts have recently taken over hosting themselves and will do their very best to make your stay a happy and relaxed time.

This is the perfect getaway for complete privacy whilst being a few minutes away from the beautiful South Hams beaches, and lovely waterside towns of Kingsbridge and Salcombe.

Situated in a wild meadow, our two off-grid shepherds huts both sleep two people and each has a double bed, kitchen, indoor table & chairs, wood burning stove, fire pit, outdoor seating and great views. Each hut has a converted horsebox which houses a hot shower and compost toilet. Linen and towels are provided. Surrounded by the beautiful South Hams landscapes, the short passenger ferry trip to buzzing Salcombe is just at the bottom of the hill along with four fabulous beaches.
