Stay in a 1960s, one of a kind Railway Carriage nestled within a peaceful wildlife refuge with a natural wood-fired hot tub. Our lovingly restored train carriage is located within our picturesque 270 acre family property in Oakview, just 80 minutes from Noosa & 15 minutes from Kilkivan. Enjoy stunning bush & mountain views, modern ammenities, a fire pit, private access to a creek and winding stream perfect for swimming, exploring & kayaking, and a nature walking trail spanning over 10 acres.

Our repurposed Redhen railcar sits amidst the vines with elevated views over Blewitt Springs; a beautiful corner of the McLaren Vale wine region. Each space (driver's cabin & three-five-four) offers well appointed kitchens, queen beds, spectacular views from your own deck or choose to stay cozy inside. Close to numerous cellar doors, breweries and restaurants. A stunning space to relax and enjoy the incredible view after a days winetasting or adventures on the stunning Fleurieu Peninsula.

Lovely Converted Train Carriage/ Garden Studio

Lovely rustic train carriage, built in 1914 and since converted into cosy and comfortable accomodation. The carriage accommodates one or two guests, with a queen size bed. Self sufficient, the carriage has a bathroom, microwave and small fridge. A private space, the carriage is nestled at the back of the property amongst the trees and garden. You will have direct access, with parking in the carport at the end of the driveway. Ballan train station is a 7 minute walk from the property.

100 year old Railway Carriage

Comfortable but compact, set in beautiful bushland, owner's house closeby. 10 minutes from shops, restaurants and railway station. 50 minutes from Sydney Airport. Extra note: some guests have mentioned swimming in the George's River but this is not always advisable due to water quality . Also while there is an electric BBQ it is not always possible to light the open fire because of legal restrictions.

Nambucca Valley Train Carriages Red carriage

Both our red & green carriages are modeled from the balcony ended tram car Built by Great Eastern Railways, England in 1884. The tram car was built for the Wisebec to Upwell line. Diane & I have built this unique accommodation from the ground up overlooking the NSW North Coast Railway line. The two carriages are located 90 metres from our house & sited to provide you with your own privacy.
