The Conductor's Cottage, escape to Waterval Onder

The Conductors' Cottage is a converted railway house that offers beautifully furnished accommodation for up to six guests. Set in the grounds of the main farmhouse, there are three cottages in total. The Conductor's Cottage has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen, lounge & outside deck area to enjoy. There are views of the hills of Mpumalanga Province as you sit on the verandah. We are a working farm with resident sheep, geese & pigs. We also have four boxer dogs that are part of the family

Yebo Cabin

Our cosy cabin which sleeps 4 is set under the trees in our beautiful permaculture garden. It's a short drive away from shopping centers, restaurants, game parks and hiking trails. It's next to our art gallery & main house but with a back garden for you to relax in. We have a pool too! We love animals and hope you do too, there's a lot of friendly cats and big dogs around along with birds and monkeys! Kids can bring their own T-shirt and screen-print it with us for free at our workshop.

Bushwhacked, Barberton (The Woodshed)

The Woodshed is ideally placed only an hour's drive from The Kruger National Park or the closest border into E'Swatini (Swaziland). In the foothills of the World Heritage listed Makonjwa Mountains with their 3.6 Billion year old Geological history. Scenic drives and hiking are nearby. The historic 1884 Goldrush town of Barberton is just a 2km walk away. Gold mining tours and panning are available and the area still has 7 working gold mines. Fresh air, great views, peace, quiet, privacy.

House on the Hill

A one bedroom apartment located on a remote mountain top overlooking the Ezulwini Valley. The apartment has an open plan kitchen with a perfect spot to enjoy your morning coffee and the spectacular view. The bedroom is very spacious with a built in closet and dresser and the bathroom has a gorgeous walk in shower. The apartment is equipped with a desk perfect for those working from home. The property is located 2 minutes from a convenience store and 10 minutes from the city centre.

The Writers' House

Welcome to The Writer’s House, an artful mountain home nestled in the hills above Waterval Boven (Emgwenya) in Mpumalanga, easily accessible by car on paved roads. Inside, you’ll find cozy, light-filled spaces with art and books. Outside, there’s a braai and quiet corners perfect for reading or birdwatching. Whether you’re stopping on your way to Kruger Park, Mbombela, or Mozambique, or staying longer to rest and reflect, The Writer’s House offers space to breathe and recharge.

Uitpak

Afpak is a lovely self-catering rondawel located on a private farm outside Barberton, The rondawel features 2 traditional round-shaped rooms, typically constructed from natural local materials such as stone, wood, or clay. Each room has an en-suite shower and toilet and a comfortable queen-size bed, pillows, and linen. Fan, smart box, and TV are also provided, Space to work, FREE Wifi and basic kitchen and braai area. Rondawel will be perfect for reps, 2 couples or a family.

Modern Countryside Cottage

Special 360 degree views of the mountains from Malkerns Valley in the heart of eSwatini, surrounded by farmland and nature reserve. This spacious modern recently renovated two-bedroom cottage is the perfect base to explore eSwatini. A short drive to Malandelas lifestyle and Mlilwane Nature Reserve. Just next door to Baobab Batik where you can enquire about a day to learn the art of Batik waxing. Situated close to Malkerns, in the Ezulwini valley for your food shopping.
