Ce vei face

We meet you at Koyasan station or Daimon Gate, the main gate to Koyasan to start the tour. We’ll give you general information about Koyasan at the starting point, and move to Garan complex area to learn about what Shingon Buddhism is. And we will visit Kongobuji Temple, the head temple of Koyasan Shingon Buddhism. You will see beautiful slide screens and the biggest rock garden in Japan and other gorgeous structures with interesting anecdotes from your guide. After Kongobuji Temple we will have Buddhist monk vegetarian meal at the local restaurant. After lunch we will visit Okuno-in, the most sacred area in Koyasan and will visit the mausoleum of Kobo Daishi, the founder of Koyasan. Okuno-in has a very sacred atmosphere and somehow you will feel something purified. You will be able to get general idea about Koyasan only in one day with a local guide.
Other things to note
Admission fees to the temple facilities and lunch are not included on the tour price. Admission fee for three spots is 900 JPY and the basic lunch is about up to 2,000 JPY.
