Welcome to the Cuyuna Wattage Cottage! We built this ultramodern cabin to be an energy-efficient retreat for you to enjoy after biking, hiking, snowmobiling, or otherwise exploring this beautiful area. You’ll love viewing a sunrise through two story windows in the main living space or warming up by the fireplace. Located a 1/2 mile away from the Cuyuna mountain bike trail system Yawkey trails. 1/2 to the beach, 2 mi. to Crosby. It is the only house on the street, on seven acres. Great privacy!

Our Slice of Heaven

Enjoy time away from your busy life in our peaceful oasis. The thing that makes this place so special is that everything in it is recycled. All the doors, window's, cabinets, wood and tin is all reused. The kitchen table was once a waterbed. Almost all of the wood for framing of the walls, furniture and picture frames were all once a pallet. Even the wall boards are old discarded boards. Once you walk into this place, a certain peace overtakes you. I hope you love it here as much as we do.

The River Lodge

The River Lodge sits on a peaceful 5 acres on the banks of the Mississippi River featuring three levels with 7 bedrooms plus additional sleeping areas in the loft and game room, making it possible to fit up to 22 guests. The great room provides a large gathering space, perfect for reunions and retreats. With 3 additional living rooms all with smart TVs, 5 bathrooms, a game room with ping pong, several outdoor sitting areas, a beautiful fire pit patio and hot tub to enjoy, there's fun for all!

Villa Lago (on lake-grill- patio-fire pit-deck)

Step into serenity in our custom built home, Villa Lago on Farm Island Lake. Hand built by my parents, this home has a modern flare with tributes to the 70's. The home welcomes you with a hand built log great room, a hand split stone fireplace, and cozy bedrooms that embody the authentic MN style. With breathtaking views of the lake, you are sure to see glimpses of the bald eagle family that nests nearby. You will see nesting trumpeter swans, and numerous loon pairs, ducks & whitetail deer.

Crosby Casa

Crosby Casa is quiet, and close to bike trails, downtown, the beach and right on the creek. Enjoy a short walk to main street where you can eat, drink, and shop. It comes with a bike cleaning station, private locked bike storage, E-bike charging outlet (115V/20A inside storage unit), EV car charging at 115V/20A, full kitchen, and washer/dryer. We provide all kitchen and bathroom necessities. Enjoy our patio, grill and fire pit by the creek- firewood, charcoal, and fire starter provided.

Quaint modern cabin set in private woodland

Escape into the forest at the Ursa Minor cabin. Built in 2017, this comfortable and tranquil getaway includes a full kitchen, bathroom with a cedar-lined shower, electric in-floor heat, a wood stove, warm pine siding throughout, and a spacious sleeping loft. A covered porch, fire pit and fully-stocked woodshed are right outside the door. Your stay includes access to more than ten kilometers of trails traversing hundreds of acres of private woodland originating steps from your door.

Restored Cozy 1894 School House on serene lake

Long Lake School house is nestled atop a wooded hill overlooking the shores of pristine Long Lake, this beautifully restored lake house is ready to be your home away from home. Originally built in 1894 as a one room log schoolhouse, this one-of-a-kind property has been lovingly renovated into a charming lake side oasis. Featuring original stamped tin ceilings, circle sawn pine flooring, and beautiful hand-hewn logs. You're sure to be transported back in time while staying here.

Get out on the lake for a paddle with the canoe or kayak or fish from the dock, catch and release is best. Year round fun, abundant wildlife, and vivid starry skies. Located ten miles from Cuyuna Country State Recreation's excellent single track mountain bike trails and many other lakes.

Charming and sumptuous, Metanoia Cottage is everything a retreat ought to be. This property was built in 2019 and offers all the luxuries of home, with the added benefit of a tranquil respite. Metanoia Cottage is just a few blocks from the entrance to the Cuyuna Country State Recreation Area, and only 2 minutes from downtown Crosby, where you’ll find note-worthy restaurants, cafes, artisan ice cream, antiques, and gourmet provisions.
