Sit on the deck and watch the deer walk by, enjoy the peace and quiet, with plenty of space to park your boat and recreational vehicles. Downtown Keosauqua is less than half a mile and conveniently located near all that this quaint river town has to offer - dining, shopping, bars, trails, kayaking, fishing, hunting and so much more. We are located approximately 18 miles from downtown Nauvoo via the bridge in Keokuk.

Guests can also enjoy the outdoor fire ring. The amazing wildlife along the river is absolutely beautiful. If you enjoy the outdoors, hunting, fishing and nature, this is the cabin for you!

The Vernon Street Guest House - Suite 2

Built in 1900 and renovated in 2022, Suite 2 shows little signs of the once quirky old space. Completely private, with all the amenities, it boasts a spacious bedroom, 1 bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, living room with a desk for workspace, and a laundry room. While you're here, we hope you are able to relax and enjoy the well lit deck along with a cup of freshly roasted coffee, which we are happy to have provided.

Railfans will enjoy the trains and river fans will enjoy the unique east-west river movement. There will be train sounds! The space comfortably sleeps two adults in its queen size Murphy bed.
