If you enjoy mountain scenery, hiking trails, or any outdoor activities, Ashe County is the place to visit! NOTE: The farmhouse only has ONE BATHROOM and it is located INSIDE BEDROOM #1 (bathroom is not accessible via any other rooms besides bedroom #1).

A Dream by the Stream is a very private and rustic 2 Br/2Ba log cabin overlooking a bold stream on 10 beautiful and remote acres with walking trails, a pond with dock, campfire pit, and amazing garden stonescapes. Our 750 sq ft. Cabin offers WiFi, streaming TV, central AC and heat, fully stocked kitchen, coffee provided, towels, comfortable bed and quality linens. We are 1/2 mile from the North Fork of New River. It's a perfect spot to relax, unwind, and enjoy the mountains. Dogs welcome.

Hurricane Helene Update: We are incredibly fortunate that our property did not suffer damage from the storm and the main roads to and from our home are accessible. Internet and power have been restored, and our property is ready to offer a lovely refuge for anyone needing a temporary place to stay. We are devastated by the losses experienced in Western NC and encourage any locals to reach out with a message prior to booking if you want to spend a few days at the Hemlock. We want to help.

There are numerous hikes in the area and other outdoor activities such as kayaking, skiing, apple-picking and Christmas Tree cutting. Our space, a custom build from HGTV-featured tiny house builder Randy Jones, is on a ridge with unparalleled, 270-degree views of Grandfather Mountain, all three area ski resorts, on into Tennessee and Virginia's Mount Rogers. We're located 20 minutes from Boone and 15 to West Jefferson, and even closer to the Blue Ridge Parkway and New River activities like fishing and tubing. If you've considered downsizing, or you just want to give living tiny a try for a getaway, this is the place!

Sleeping Bear Cabin - Blue Ridge Mountains

Sleeping Bear Cabin is nestled away in a private mountain community that has it's own lake and just a two minute drive to the New River at the entrance of the community. The cabin is surrounded by forest with a main deck and an upper deck. Just recently remodeled and redecorated, we designed Sleeping Bear to be the perfect place for anyone to enjoy the mountain life. Fishing, walking, biking, hiking, tubing, kayaking, bird, butterfly, wildlife watchers and 35 -45 minutes to skiing.

Our Happy Little Hut

Come and stay in our unique quonset hut just 15 minutes to Boone! This is a half circle metal building turned into a unique tiny home cabin experience. This 400 sq ft space has everything you need including a bedroom, bathroom and upstairs kids loft. The main area has colorful wood details and an accent wall with 100 year old barn wood right from our own farm. The water is straight from a natural spring up our mountain. This space is ideal for couples, and two kids.
