Peaceful, tucked away Annex

This annex is suitable for the disabled and/or the elderly as it has the benefit of a stair lift, wide entrance and spacious wet room. The kitchen is fully equipped with fridge/freezer, halogen hob, toaster, microwave and air frier. There is a hairdryer with the offer of straighteners on request. There is also an iron /ironing board. The bedroom is located up stairs and there’s a sofa bed in the lounge, if needed, we also have a cot. Satellite TV is available Outside there is a patio seating

Recently undergone complete modernisation. Contemporary one bed annex with off road parking. ground floor building with private access. Fully furnished and equipped for two people. However there is a sofa bed in the living room so it can accommodate up to 4 people for a shorter trip. Ideal for weekend break or people looking for longer term trips for business, offering great long term discounts. Convenient location to shops, pubs and country walks and beach all within fifteen minute walk.

Shepard’s Hut in Small Orchard

This is a stand alone unit totally self contained with shower and toilet. Unlike garden rooms this unit has wheels and a tow bar. The (should I say) Shepherdess Hut as it was used by a small holder during lambing to be close to her flock. Not suitable for long stays. More details below in The Space. Our small orchard has 2 x cherry, plum, 3 x pear, 2 x apple, greengage, apricot, mulberry, medlar and olive. We also have two 2 x raspberry, loganberry, Japanese wine berry and our own hops

Tuck away next to the Wivenhoe woods (upper Wivenhoe), this lovely self-contained studio flat provides comfortable accommodation throughout. The studio is on a cul-de-sac, with its own entrance. It is just a short walk to the University of Essex via Wivenhoe Public pathway. The the train station is also only 15 minute walk away through the Wivenhoe trail. Ideal for 1-2 guests, but a baby or small chid is welcome (providing that you bring your own travel cot & bedding with you).

Riverside gem with a nautical past

In the heart of lower Wivenhoe on the quay, our little self-contained cottage was once part of the home of The Colne Marine and Yacht Company. Its thick brick walls and quiet and pretty disposition, defy its former role as a working yard where timber yachts were crafted and repaired, drawn up inside at high tide. Emma and Charlie welcome guests back time after time to relax and enjoy this very special place. We hope you will join them.
