Come stay with us at our ‘Farmstead’ in town - Yellow-Wood is 1 of 3 private suites in this 1927mail order Bungalow (we think it's a Sears one!) only a few walkable blocks away from downtown. Completely updated with all the 'modern' conveniences, but still keeping that rustic/elegant look of the Hill Country. Front porch for 'relaxi'n/sipping', Landscaped yard, private parking lot, private patio with comfy seating, umbrellas and fans. So sorry, but we are not set up for children or pets.

Loeffler-Weber w/hot tub on Main St.

Built by German settler Gerhard Rorig in 1846, this cabin served as a Sunday House. Sunday Houses were a second home where men stayed on weekends after a night of drinking with their friends. They were located near a church, so they could attend church on Sundays. This cabin was later added on and renovated by Johann Loeffler and his son-in-law J. Charles Weber. The home stayed in the Loeffler-Weber family for 90 years. Then George and Gloria Hill bought and restored it in the 1960s.

Winemakers often store their wine in oak barrels during the wine making process. When it’s stored at high humidity for long periods, a small portion of alcohol evaporates from the barrel. The evaporating alcohol, called angel’s share, is believed to be guardian angels watching over the wine while it ages. Named after this belief, the Angel’s Share suite at our Fredericksburg, TX B&B has lovely wood features and stone masonry that’s truly fit for an angel.
