Ride shares and taxis are recommended everywhere in New Orleans at night, and the fare from Maison Laharpe to the Quarter is under $10, 5-7 minutes. Bus routes are nearby, as are Blue Bike rentals. You can also take an inexpensive Uber or Lyft a mile north to City Park or a mile south to the French Quarter/Bywater or Downtown CBD/Warehouse District. Local city rental bikes are also available along Esplanade and are a great way to see the city. No smoking, parties, or pets. You will have access to your private courtyard and the entire suite. We will be available for most guest check-ins and welcome you to hang with us on our porch under the large oak tree with a cool beverage. There are so many wonderful places in this city and we enjoy making recommendations based on your interests. The suite is situated across the street from the Fairgrounds Race Course, where Jazz Fest is held, the corner market, and Catty Shack, which has the best tacos in NOLA. The neighborhood is close to the French Quarter and City Park. Free street parking. There are always spaces available except during Jazz Fest. During this time, you can park in our driveway. Your space is located in the downstairs area of our home (semi apartment without a kitchen). There is no kitchen but there is a small refrigerator, coffee maker, and microwave located in the space. Great neighbors. We are about a 10 minute ride away from French Quarter, City Park, Fairgrounds (Jazz Fest) and Lake Pontchartrain.
