Welcome to The Alpine Aframe, a charming cabin nestled at over 10,000 feet in the Rockies. For eight months, this cabin was our passion project. We thoughtfully remodeled the space to create a serene and elevated atmosphere. The cabin is a 5 min walk to the St. Mary's Glacier trailhead and a 25 min drive to downtown Idaho Springs. You will not find a better view of Grand Lake than from the patio of this cozy, mountain lake home. From sunrise to sunset, firework shows, fly overs and wildlife viewing - you can’t beat it. This is a VERY well stocked mountain retreat owned and managed by me - Pickles! It’s one of my favorite places to visit and when I’m not - I love to share it with you! **Smoking is not tolerated in or near the residence. That Dam Cabin!

This historic 309-square foot cabin was built in 1932 for men working on the Shadow Mountain dam. When we found it, we knew this would be the perfect getaway. Our cabin is 4 miles from downtown Grand Lake! It's a short drive to restaurants, shops, hiking, fishing, the beach and kayak/boat rentals. Head to Rocky Mountain National park to hike and see wildlife or stay home and enjoy s'mores around the fire. On a clear night the stars are absolutely breathtaking!
