Sandpiper Cottage is located in Anchorage Cottages & Retreat Center on the sandy shores of the Great Lake Huron. It is 1 of 6 cottages on the property. This rustic cabin is fully furnished and has shared beachfront with a private deck facing the water. A 1940's cottage right in the heart of quaint downtown East Tawas. East Tawas is located on Michigan’s Sunrise Side. The area is well known for its sparkling turquoise waters and clean public sandy beaches. Just two blocks to Newman St and you can enjoy local shopping and dining or the ice cream and chocolate shops, and the 1935 historic movie theater. Bring your boat and enjoy Lake Huron or catch some fish for dinner. Kayaks and canoes can be put in at various spots along the Au Sable River.
