Why Kashmir on the lake? in 2004 the house was built by a local husband and wife who were dedicated to having their grandchildren enjoy this special place in the Catskills. The family decided to move south and listed the home to rent occasionally - especially for the music festival Mountain Jam in Hunter . In summer, stargaze on our deck and light up the fire pit. In winter, frolick in the snow, hike our frozen waterfall, or just sit by the wood burning stove. Stroll Sickler road to see fall colors on Mt. Oldenbark. Spring brings the snow runoff and our waterfall rushes and the flowers bloom! Our quiet mountainside perch is a four-season getaway comfortable for up to six adults. Right between Woodstock (10 min) and Phoenicia (15 min). Stay and find out why I call it the Owl’s Nest!

My 900 sq ft cabin was built in the 1960s by an artist and renovated with recycled & repurposed materials. (We are told it may also have been a witness protection house😮)
