Kea - Tzia as the Greeks call it - is probably the best kept secret of the islands of the cyclades archipelago. Only a 1 hour boat trip from the mainland port of Lavrio (20 minutes from Athens' El. Venizelos airport), Kea is a large montainous island with beautiful beaches. Little known to foreign tourists, attatched to its traditions, it is dotted with windmills and chapels and crisscrossed by ancient stonepaved hiking trails. A real "must see" is the prehistoric sculpture of a giant lion, which tradition claims that to touch the tip of his nose brings good luck, The picturesque and ancient site of Karthea which overlooks the sea and is reached only by following the road through a wild creek, is another "must" for a travellers itinary. Harmony is everywhere, life flows peacefully. Ioulis the main town, 10 minutes drive from the port, is a big pedestrian village, built like an amphitheater. A two minutes stroll from the heart of the village, but away from the hussle and bussle, the rental property is built in three levels. Typical Cycladic, stonewalled and breezy, it enjoys a panoramic view from the terrace: the City Hall and its square shaded by plane trees, the roofs of the village and the hill of Kastro and in the distance, the sea, Cape Sounion and the island of Evia... Tastfully decorated in local style, the cottage offers a simple comfort. With two bedrooms in differend levels it can accomodate 4 to 6 people max. Shower room and a second WC, kitchen with tiny fireplace, barbecue possible. We recommend a car or motorbike (which can be rented easily on the island) to access the wildest beaches, but it is possible to do without it, the busses shuttleback and forth between the port and the main beaches.

The Haven is 50 m2 perfectly renovated stone cottage, with a further 80 m2 of terraces, and 40.000m2 of land of the property. It includes a fully equipped kitchen, one bedroom with double bed, a bathroom, a dinning table and a sitting area with two sofas where an additional two people can sleep and there is a curtain for visual isolation and privacy. There is access to a large covered terrace, one open kitchen sink, one wood dining table and deck chairs, which allow you to enjoy the sea view.

Welcome to our renovated traditional stone built home! The interior features a modern hue, it is spacious and includes all the amenities to make your stay luxurious and comfortable. Enjoy a relaxing drink in the garden and walk around our picturesque village, or use it as a starting point to discover the numerous beaches of the island. We are located 200m to the port, there are 4 beautiful beaches in a range of 200m to 4km and within walking distance to the commercial part of Korissia.

Authentic Kea island house

Authentic kea house is located on a cliff with a beautiful view, quite remote but also close to places and combines a rural life with comfortable modern elements. The house is close to the stores, restaurants and beaches and provides the perfect spot for authentic Greek vacation! It has one big main room with two double beds and two single comfortable sofa beds in a second area that locks from the other. There is a big spacious veranda for relaxation and view of the sunset.

Old Wine press set amidst oaks and vineyards

Set amidst in oak trees, vineyards, sea views, and an old chapel this restored wine press appeals to lovers of nature and dogs. The owner of the property who is himself a vine grower lives in a larger house on the grounds and is able and willing to provide 'insider's information' on the island. the village of Ioulis is 20 minutes on foot.
