Diekirch- Luxembourg Beauty at the Gehlen Inn

Nestled in the rolling hills of northeast Iowa in the quiet village of St. Donatus, the Gehlen House offers year-round accommodations for calming getaways and/or family fun. Green pastures and white fences full of graceful horses surround Red Roof Stable Bed and Breakfast. Check in before 4pm and watch as the horses come in the barn for the evening. Sit on the many decks and patios and play a family game as you watch the sunset. At night help Diane check and water horses before roasting marshmallows at the outside firepit or inside at the fireplace. A full country breakfast is served the next day as you watch the horses go back out.

We are a small acreage just 15 minutes from Iowa City, 7 minutes from Solon, and 30 minutes from the Cedar Rapids airport. Our converted barn is at the back of the property, behind the house. There is a separate road leading back to the barn for super convenient parking. It’s rustic, cozy, warm and inviting.
