Light, comfortable studio sized guesthouse with a queen bed, ensuite bathroom, fiber wifi, Smart TV, fridge, microwave, and self-service breakfast in relaxed Island Bay. The guesthouse is 10m across the garden from our house. Please note there is a microwave and bowls, plates, cutlery, glasses; but not a full kitchen. walk: 7mins to beach, 10-15mins to local cafes, bars, restaurants, shops, supermarket, cinema. drive: 15mins to Te Papa, CBD, airport 10mins to WLG Hospital 20mins to ferries

My returning guests love how close we are to the city, yet you'll feel you’ve escaped it. You can get to the airport quickly and directly access native bush walks. Our unique village hosts Wellington's best bakery and Chocolatier! Grab a bite and a beverage here or jump on a bus heading into the city.

The Lighthouse

The Lighthouse is a unique, romantic place on the South Coast. Stunning views, opposite a swimming and dog beach plus rock pools, it’s great for walks. With a comfy double bed and steep stairs, it’s private and quiet - brilliant on a sunny day, cosy in a storm. There's a fantastic cafe around the corner; shops are 10 minutes’ walk away. The main Island Bay bus stop is nearby with regular buses. It's a 9 minute drive to the airport and 15 minutes to downtown Wellington. Small dogs on request.
