Guest cabin has all amenities: wood burning fireplace, board games, fishing poles, bottle house, bbq, and gold pans for when the creek is flowing. An outdoor fire pit if winds are calm. It has old character, unique charm, and is close to old mining town, Julian. Kitchen has fridge, hot plate, grill, microwave, coffee maker- coffee tea provided. Pets welcome, has dog door, fenced yard.

The retreat has a lovely flagstone patio with outdoor gas firepit and custom cedar bar. Pine Valley has clear night skies with no light pollution. You will feel right at home in this quiet neighborhood with access to the Cleveland National Forest for hiking, biking or birding. Owners live on the same property, so you may see them.

More like a national park than a home, we've found that guests enjoy the pace and peaceful surroundings and spend most of their visit without leaving. That being said, if you're feeling more exploratory, there are many options within a short drive including hiking, wine tasting, horseback riding, fishing, and even sky-diving.

The Desert View Tower

STAY OVERNIGHT AT THE DESERT VIEW TOWER! You will have The Tower all to yourselves from 5 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. Sleep anywhere in the Tower on futons or couches (bedding available). You will have access to Boulder Park, and 99 acres of private desert property all day. Barbecue outside. You may also us the guest cabin with all household furnishings, toilet, shower, kitchen etc. Or, sleep under the stars.

La Luna Lookout - modern mountain

This is a mountain retreat with amazing views located just two miles from downtown Julian. Come enjoy a stay in a one bedroom, 1 &1/2 bath with over 1200 modernized square feet of space. Sit on the deck to see the amazing views including surreal moon rises and sunrises. The view starts at the edge of Julian and goes as far as the Salton Sea on clear days.

This home was designed by the famous artist James Hubbell. It is unique and marvelous. This home and the artist are featured in two books stocked in the living room. The full charm of "The Shire" is absorbed over days and nights of individual's and couple's immersion, relaxation and awakening.
