Sunsets, sunrises and the night sky are amazing! It's an 84 year-old house but solid and tidy inside. Caretaker lives on site to assist as needed.

Hiker's Retreat Cabin

Cute cabin for two! Set in the midst of Plumas National Forest, Paxton is very secluded. Walking distance to the beautiful Feather River and our own private sand beach. Hiking, swimming and tubing. Close to Lake Almanor, Bucks Lake, the quaint towns of Quincy and Belden, snowshoeing, fishing and many other outdoor activities. We also have a Little Tree Library with books for all ages, or little games to play. Plus, we include many lawn games right here on the historic Paxton Lodge property.

The Cabin - Creekside tranquility!

This creekside Cabin (300sqft) escape is a STUDIO nestled in the forest but with all the city amenities. Complete with a queen bed and a full size bed in an upper loft (wrought iron ladder access, see photos to confirm able to climb it! This is NOT the primary bed.) Full bathroom with tub/shower, recently renovated full kitchen with granite counter tops, and a flat-screen TV with WiFi. A great escape from the Bay Area (San Francisco, Oakland and San Jose 4.5hrs); Sacramento 3 hrs

Indian Valley Cottage (Retreat)

This is a 570 sq ft building with BR, BA and living area. It is located in beautiful Indian Valley. Lots of wildlife including deer, turkey, bear, and geese. The Kitchenette has a coffee and tea maker, refrigerator, hot plate, electric skillet and microwave, and should have enough tools for you to make simple meals. I also provide a grill on the patio, some outdoor furniture so guests may enjoy coffee, tea, in the morning or another beverage while watching the stars at night.

The Old Mill Cabin

Nestled near Main Street, The Old Mill Cabin is sleek, cozy, and private. Local eateries, shops, and attractions are just a short walk away. Built in the early 1900s for mill workers, this charming cabin blends historical character with modern amenities. We are a pet-friendly dwelling and welcome all pets who have good house manners. As we do live upstairs with 3 pets - there will be some footsteps from time to time. This unit stays nice and cool in the summer and there are heaters to keep warm in the winter. There is lots of space to socialize and a full kitchen to utilize. Whether traveling for work or pleasure - The Storybook Suite will provide a cozy mountain farm retreat.
