English-speaking staff is available. This is an old private house built more than 100 years ago, surrounded by rice paddies. It is a quiet and peaceful place to stay as it is easily accessible to major sightseeing spots and there are few tourists. Please use it as a transit point for your trip. 1 hour to Tokyo by train 2 hours to Nikko by train 45 minutes to Kawagoe by car Staff will pick you up at the nearest station. This hotel is run by a farmer. If you wish, you can experience farming.

Quiet Rural Retreat in a traditional Japanese house. We renovated a 80 years small wooden house by ourselves taking a long time. The building used to be used for raising silkworms by farms. It was our culture and industry to get silks in this area. You can have a calm time for having Coffee and beer, reading books, listening music... The village is surrounded by nature for hiking to mountains and rivers. Some local families live in around the house, so please stay like the village people.

This house is located between Karuizawa and Matsumoto Castle. ---About 60minutes to both places by car. I want you take calm time with your loved ones in the cozy house. *It's very suburb, so you need a car(snow tires are necessary during December to April) to come and sightseen. There are livestock farms around the house. Sometimes, smells like a barn for cows. If you don't like it, I don't recommend you to book the house.
