We are in the country next to a blacktop road.This is a very laidback place , there are farm animals across the road at our farm. This was my moms farm house and I just want people to enjoy it as much as she did. We are close to Kincaid Lake, the local winerie, the World Shooting Complex, and hiking trails (Piney Creek Revenue). Come and enjoy a day fishing or just sitting on the back deck enjoying the peaceful surroundings. Later build a fire and sit back and relax. Come and enjoy the country.

Cabin is secluded and quiet plus 1/2 mile from Alto Pass Lookout Point and right in the middle of many award-winning wineries. 15 miles from Carbondale 4 miles from Giant City 30 miles from Garden of the Gods 6 lakes within 10-mile radius Hundreds of miles of hiking trails in nearby Shawnee National Forest 6 miles from Bald Knob Cross Please, no dogs! The Cottage, Rusted Route Farms

You won’t forget your time in this romantic, memorable place. The Cottage at Rusted Route Farms is a 1 bedroom beautiful suite on an old 10 acre farm history galore. A picturesque pond is settled next to The Market our onsite Restaurant that will be serving food and drinks to be ready on your arrival or for a certain time that you choose. The over 125 year old barn has been renovated to keep the history alive and is located here on site. This retreat is located right outside Cape Girardeau.

Twisted Sassafras Treehouse

A custom-built treehouse located on 10 acres with a water view that you can take in from the hot tub on the deck! It is nestled high in the trees and is the perfect romantic getaway for two! Feel like you are away from it all without being away from it all! This treehouse is located on a county road just minutes from Cape Girardeau. Enjoy catch and release fishing on site, local wineries, shopping in historic downtown Cape Girardeau, local restaurants, gambling, historical sites & more!

Sanctuary Cabin- Hot Tub & Woods

Hi, hello, welcome! We invite you to take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. The kitchen is stocked, the hot tub is ready to go, and the local area boasts many wineries, state parks for hiking, and beautiful scenery. This spacious cabin features a comfortable King bed, 55” TV above a gas fireplace, and recently had a top to bottom renovation! The spacious back deck features a large hot tub just steps from the back door, hooks for the provided terry cloth robes, and a Weber grill.

Restaurant is open at 4pm Wednesday, Friday and Saturday Guests receive $10 food voucher with stay 1bedroom cabin with queen bed, living room with queen sleeper sofa. Forget your worries in this spacious apartment, the lower/first level of a 3-level house, a peaceful place at the woodsy end of a country lane, not far from two state parks, five lakes, wine trail, Southern Illinois University and other interesting features of this area. The 1st level apartment is large, has a kitchen, dining room, 2 bedrooms, living room/bedroom, a full bath, and a utility room, 2 exterior doors, one to a patio with a fire pit and charcoal cooker.

7 minutes from Kinkaid Lake's Paul Ice boat ramp. 15 minutes fron Kinkaid marina. Take a break and unwind at this peaceful oasis. There is plenty of room to park your boat. After a day on the lake come back to the house and enjoy some relaxing time either in the house or under the shade trees in the yard. The family room furniture is set up for a family gathering or watching TV. The bedrooms all have new mattresses and different types of pillows to choose from.

Shawnee Forest Vacation Lodge
