Great place to stay in the area while on your trip to the southwest or Mesa Verde National Park. A pleasant place for guests who want to unplug, relax, and enjoy a rustic outdoor wilderness experience. Great trails for hiking, bird watching, cross country skiing and snow shoeing! Note: If a big winter you will need a 4x4 or all wheel drive vehicle to access the neighborhood.

The Loft encompasses a cozy mountain cabin feel with modern updates and easy access to some of Southwest Colorado's best attractions. Marked trails weave around the property for early morning coffee walk or a moonlit snowshoe - courtesy snowshoes are available for guests. Deer frequent the property as well.

Beautiful Log Mountain Home with a View

Our beautiful mountain home is nestled between Durango and Pagosa Springs Colorado. Whether you are looking for a quite, private and secluded vacation spot or a home between two local ski resorts (Purgatory and Wolf Creek) this home offers the best of both worlds. This is also a great hunting spot, less than a quarter mile walk to public hunting property held by BLM. You can walk right out the door and hike, snow shoe, or sled down the driveway. We are not present when the home is occupied.

Owls Nest is a private loft studio that looks out at the stunning views of La Plata Mountains and the sweeping farm land of Florida Mesa. It is 15 minutes drive from Downtown Durango. This two bedroom, one bath space is perfect for a small family or a few friends. Enjoy coffee with views of the Animas Valley, warm up next to the fireplace or soak in the 4-person hot tub. we have a full kitchen and bathroom. There's a king bedroom and a queen bedroom. We also have a small dinette in the living room for enjoying meals. There's a smart TV with streaming services, a record player, a karaoke microphone, a portable speaker, card games and puzzles for entertainment.
