It was originally a grist mill that used water from the west branch of the Little Conestoga Creek to power a wheel used to grind flour. The Conestoga Cottage is a delightfully rustic, three-bedroom retreat nestled in the peaceful village of Safe Harbor, surrounded by beautiful acres of wild countryside and only 18 minutes from downtown Lancaster! The Cottage boasts a farmhouse style kitchen, a dining room filled with natural light, a large living room with a fireplace, three beautiful bedrooms, a front porch, a rear yard for the kids to play in, hot tub and private patio, as well as access to nearby trails and the river park.

The beautiful cabin is a nature lover's paradise with a babbling brook that offers solace for the body and soul. It is a retreat that will allow you to feel the presence of God as you relax and take deep breaths! This home has a master bedroom with a queen bed, and a second bedroom with a single trundle bed. The kitchen is slightly stocked (pots, dishes, drip coffee maker, small refrig and an antique stove, but no working oven). A gas fireplace adds a cozy feature to the living space.

1700’s historic waterfront cottage

Be a part of history while staying on this waterfront property of the Ironmaster's Mansion. The two-story stone guesthouse, steps away from the mansion, was built in the year 1715. The timeless character of the home, paired with the peaceful property creates an escape that feels like you've gone back in time, all while being only 20 minutes outside of Lancaster City. The mansion was home to the first treasurer of the US, General Edward Hand’s daughter, and President Buchanan’s fiance.

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. The entire home has been newly renovated with thoughtful touches and an eclectic feel. Conveniences include a wood stove, sleep number mattress, Viking gas stovetop/oven, deck facing river with propane grill, a covered carport entry, and a 180* river view at the top of the property! We are very excited to welcome guests and hope to provide a memorable experience for all. Well behaved dogs welcome upon request. Wood stove $25/night.
