A quiet place by a quiet bay at the countryside. There is no public transport. The road to our place is a narrow road up the hill towards the mountain Beinisvør. By the town Lopra (before the tunnel to Sumba) you turn right. "Um Hestin". Before the top of the hill, turn left: Víkabyrgi. Our house is the last one on your left side. Placeringen er central. Den lokale købmand ligger 250 m fra huset, og 30 m fra huset ligger kajen, hvor der er mulighed for at fiske. Der er 4 værelser, 2 større og 2 mindre. Tilsammens er der 7 sovepladser. Kun 10 min kørsel til fodboldhal, svømmehal, café’er og resturanter.

Stunning one bedroom apartment at the bottom of a house in the historical village of Velbastaður with spectacular uninterrupted sea views. 10 min drive from the capital Tórshavn and a short drive to Kirkjubøur and Sandoy ferry. Regular sightings of porpoises and numerous seabird species and occasional whale sightings (seasonal). Opportunity to use jacuzzi and sauna for additional charge of 200kr upon request. Opportunity to add single bed and baby cot on request.

Hytte i Húsavík, Sandoy

Næsten 200 år gammelt fredet stenhus i den i historiske bygd Húsavík på Sandoy. Du bor tæt på naturen i et gammelt traditionelt færøsk stenhus med græs på taget, vægge af træ og træ- og stengulve. Huset er i en længe, hvor du går igennem ’røgstuen’ (hvor sovepladsen er) ind i stuen (glasstuen). I røgstuen er der højt til loftet, mens der i stuen er lavere, med udsigt over havet. Badeværelse af ældre dato, og et lille køkken med nye elementer og opvaskemaskine.

The 2 hour ferry trip to the island, return ticket about 11 euro and 37 euro with car, is beautiful. Newly renovated house decorated stylish and simple with danish designs. We renovated this old boathouse 2021. The house offers you a peacefull sanctuary to collect your thoughts. 5 minutes walking distance to groceryshopping. Bus stop to the rest of the island is oposite the house as well. There is a bed for two people.
