You can sit, unwind, and watch the wildlife with a distant view of Bald Knob Cross. The cabin sits in the heart of Shawnee National Forrest and the Southern IL wine trail. You can enjoy the fire pit while watching the stars, with no distractions from neighbors, traffic, or lights. You can enjoy catch & release fishing from the bank

Bald Knob Cabin is the ideal location to unplug and put your feet up after a long day hiking trails or traveling the Shawnee Wine Trail that flows through the cozy, inviting town of Alto Pass. No WIFI or TV!

Our cabin will be waiting for your arrival or return, well equipped with a 55" TV above the gas fireplace, a comfortable King size bed, and an amazing back porch with a Weber Grill and huge hot tub.

Tucked into the rolling hills of the Shawnee National Forest, our modern cabin offers a welcoming retreat where comfort and nature meet. Located on the Shawnee Hills Wine Trail, Farmhouse Cellars is located within our working winery at Feather Hills Vineyard & Winery. You have the opportunity to look in on the wine making process while enjoying a quiet, comfortable place to rest your head. This is a large space with open kitchen, living and sleeping areas. The front porch offers a beautiful sunset while looking over the vineyards and you are but a short walk from our tasting room where you can enjoy a tasting.
