The Swede Heir Farm House *family stay*

This historic farm house is located on a working farm at Barry Corner, where the Barry family lived from 1864-1881. Anna Barry was the teacher of Laura Ingalls Wilder. The farm is just up the hill from Pepin, and a short distance from Stockholm, Maiden Rock, and Plum City. The house was built in 1900 becoming a home to 4 generations of one local farming family. 4 small towns are all within 15 min. of this location with plenty of places to eat if you do not want to do your own cooking, as well as things to see and do. There is plenty of room for activities in the yard, so feel free to bring yard games. You may also see any of the abundant wildlife that is in the area such as deer, squirrels, turkeys, pheasants, rabbits and more. You will find we have streamed t.v., Roku, Wi-Fi, and even a local land line phone for local calls only. (If needed.)

Milkhouse Cottage was rebuilt from the original Milkhouse built on our farm in 1906. Nestled in a peaceful valley across the road from the Rush River. Amenities include one queen bed, 1 queen sized comfortable queen sofa bed, air conditioning, private deck, private fire pit & 38 acres of private hiking trails and snowshowing trails. For larger groups we have another cottage on airbnb called the Trout Haus. Check on Airbnb or contact us regarding renting both houses.
