Straw Clay Cabin on a Sustainable Farm

This Earthen house is made of sand, straw and clay. Nestled in a valley it is a peaceful and unique getaway. The cabin has four comfortable single beds and electricity, a wood stove for winter. Outside a fire pit and grill. A hand washing sink inside; and port-o-let toilet outside. You may be able to drive in (weather/road condition depending). We are licensed as a campground. please bring all of your needs, cooler, etc. Please arrive before dark. We are LGBTQ owned and operated. BIPOC welcome.

Come spend a night underground! This unique home is a rural, restful spot with friendly hosts. We are located 8 minutes from Menomonie and 20 minutes from Eau Claire on US highway 12 & 29. We have one private room available with a private bathroom. The bedroom includes a queen bed, a full size mattress in an elevated bunk space ( with ladder access). We also have a 2nd identical bedroom available by request for additional fees (inquiries welcome). All other spaces are “shared “ with the host.

Come experience sleeping in a cave without actually roughing it! Located in the back of the Hobbit, the Cave has its own private entrance under the leaf canopied patio. *Please no smoking of any kind in our home or near the door *($250 fine)* You will be greeted by a lantern hanging among the stalactites and vines and a set of stairs leading down into the cave. An indoor gas fireplace, a 50" smart TV, full kitchen, tiled shower, & queen memory foam mattress all guarantees a magical stay!

Your cozy cabin at Camp Miramichee Falls is located on a wooded hillside, a short walk to the river, and just two miles from downtown Hardy and Cherokee Village. This historic stone cabin was originally part of the YWCA Camp Miramichee which was founded in 1916. It was built in the 1940s and renovated in 2019. You will feel like you are back at camp, while also enjoying the modern perks of an added bathroom in the cabin, air conditioning and internet. Come relax at Camp Miramichee Falls!

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. This two story earth home is private and warm. It's a great place to stay for a family for a week-long stay, a couple for the weekend, or a small group of fishermen ready to conquer Current River. We are about 4 miles from Montauk State Park (the head of the Current River), 11 miles to Flat Nasty Off-road Park, and 9 miles to canoe rental. The Current River can be accessed in several locations, with the closest being Montauk.

This cozy downstairs room in the Milkweed Mercantile includes two twin beds and is our only dog-friendly room. The room has an exterior entrance and includes access to a shared shower and hassle-free composting toilet in common space just outside your door. The Mercantile is a beautiful strawbale building with solar power, filtered rain water, high speed wifi, as well as air conditioning and fireplace in public spaces. Breakfast can be included for a small fee if arranged in advance.

You’ll love the light, the coziness, the comfy bed, and the art. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers.

Secluded Stone Cabin w/ Wood-Fired Hot Tub

Peaceful and secluded retreat to unplug and unwind. This off‑the‑grid experience has no electricity or flushing toilets, we do provide the essentials: running hot water, an outhouse, all the firewood you will need and propane lighting. Stay includes access to a handcrafted, wood‑fired hot. Four-wheel-drive, or high-profile two-wheel drive vehicles are needed to get to the cabin. We must greet guests at arrival to show you how to use the propane lights.
